TVQA Spring Seminar

I spent 3 lovely days in Murfreesboro, TN, at the TVQA Spring Seminar last week.  We were at the Old Fort Hwy DoubleTree Hotel for 2 1/2 days of classes and 2 evenings of speakers/trunk shows - fun, fun, fun!  I took 2 classes from Nancy Mahoney - someone who's quilts I have always admired, and learned alot about applique!  Here are a couple of pics from the first class:

This is me and Nancy standing in front of her quilt, "Blue Bayou", from her book "Simple Circles and Quick Curves."  A real beauty!
Here's the class with our finished blocks.  Teresa, from the blog "A Quilt and a Prayer", is standing down front on the left.  We first met last year at Assembly Day.  And standing towards the back on the right in the white sweater is my friend (and roommate for Spring Seminar) Cindy.  Everyone made pretty blocks!
Here's a closeup of one of the blocks in Blue Bayou.
A Photo of the back of Blue Bayou that shows Nancy's quilting.

Seminar was great and I highly recommend that everyone that loves quilting should try and attend!  I was lucky enough to win a scholarship this year, which really helped, and look forward to sharing what I learned with my guild, Courthouse Quilters.
