Daisy Dance

I posted about this quilt back on Feb 4.  I picked it up again and decided to get the top sewn together, finally!  I'm not sure when I started this quilt, probably about a year ago.  It's hand applique blocks alternating with large squares surrounded by HST.  The original pattern appeared in Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting magazine, March/April 2009 issue.  It is called "Daisy Dance" and it is by Kathy Munkelwitz.  It is such a happy, scrappy quilt and I just loved it the minute I saw it.  In my version, the background and HST blocks are yellow, but the flowers and HST are all bright colors, like the original.  I think one of the reasons I love this quilt is because it has so much room for quilting!  Anyway, here a couple of pics of my "work in progress:"

 That's alot of yellow!
